‘Mid-air emergency’ is declared on British Airways flight

A British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Edinburgh Airport declared a mid-air emergency.

The plane departed London Gatwick this morning and arrived in the Scottish capital at 12.45pm.

British Airways flight BA2938 does not appear to be diverting and is expected to land in Edinburgh shortly.

Flight tracker AirLive tweeted: ‘British Airways #BA2938 inbound Edinburgh is declaring an emergency.’

However a spokesman for British Airways said that was an ‘anomaly’ and the aircraft had landed with no problems.
