Mike Tyson is seen for first time since ‘punching a passenger on flight’

Mike Tyson couldn’t stop smiling as he was seen for the first time on Thursday after reportedly punching a passenger on a flight earlier this week.

The former professional boxer, 55, was beaming from ear to ear and held a suspicious looking cigarette as he stepped out of his hotel in Miami, wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan ‘Fight Camp’.

It comes after the star repeatedly a punching a fellow passenger on a plane at the San Francisco airport Wednesday night – in an attack that left the man with a bloody forehead.

Having fun: Mike Tyson was seen for the first time on Thursday after reportedly punching a passenger on a flight earlier this week – as he puffed on a suspicious-looking cigarette

But Mike looked in great spirits as he headed out just days later wearing the black and white T-shirt which he teamed with dark jeans and white trainers.

While leaving the hotel he took the time to chat with star-struck fans and take selfies with them while carrying the cigarette in his hand.

MailOnline has contacted Mike’s representatives for a comment.

It comes after Mike was seen enjoying good vibes and marijuana in San Francisco, seemingly celebrating the marijuana-themed 4/20 holiday just hours before the incident on the plane.

Tyson, a marijuana entrepreneur, was seen earlier in the day celebrating April 20 (4/20) by smoking pot on San Francisco’s famed Hippie Hill.

He has legally sold weed through his business, Tyson Holistic, since 2016.

The former champion boxer was seen amid several clouds of smoke as crowds flocked to The Hangover star.

Then, before boarding his flight, he was seen at the San Francisco airport by Bay Area-photographer Josh Edelson, who was returning with his wife from a trip to Italy.

Edelson approached Tyson for a picture roughly an hour-and-a-half before Tyson’s incident on the JetBlue flight.

‘When we walked out of the airport, I turned to my wife, like, ”Oh my God, that’s Mike Tyson right there,”’ Edelson told DailyMail.com.

‘So I went up to him and was like, ”Mike do you mind if I get a picture with you real quick?” And he responded with, ‘I don’t give a f***,’ and then he took a huge toke of his joint.

‘I went and took a picture with him, and he took another big toke and said ”goodbye” to his driver, who I assume drove him there from Hippie Hill or wherever he came from in San Francisco,’ Edelson continued. ‘And that was pretty much it. I didn’t really think very much of it. Then I left and went home, and then woke up this morning, and as it turns out, he was just arriving to go fly home or [Fort Lauderdale.]’

According to Edelson, Tyson appeared to be in a peaceful mood before boarding his redeye flight to Florida.

‘He was really chill,’ Edelson said. ‘He seemed overall happy. He obviously was smoking, was having a good time and seemed to be in a really good mood.’

Tyson, however, claims he was reacting to an unruly passenger who had been harassing him and actually threw a water bottle at the boxing legend.

‘Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat,’ a representative for Tyson told DailyMail.com in an email.

San Francisco police told TMZ that officers did respond to the scene and detained two people believed to be involved in the altercation. One was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but that person ‘provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation.’

San Francisco police declined to identify the individuals when contacted by DailyMail.com.

It is unclear if Tyson and the alleged victim were on board when the flight departed for Fort Lauderdale. Tyson’s spokesperson did not respond when asked if he was arrested.

That man, who remains unidentified, initially had a cordial exchange with Tyson, according to TMZ. A witness says the man and a friend greeted the 55-year-old boxing legend as they boarded the plane and even got their picture taken with Tyson.

Tyson soon grew tired of engaging with the fan and reportedly asked him to be quiet. When the man continued talking, Tyson reportedly then stood, turned, and threw several punches to the man’s face and forehead.

‘Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Mike, come on, stop that,’ a witness is heard saying on the cell phone footage.

The cell phone video did not include footage of the man throwing a water bottle at Tyson.

Another video from the flight shows the aftermath of the incident, with the man sporting traces of blood on his forehead.

‘My boy just got beat up by Mike Tyson,’ said the man shooting the video.

‘Yeah, he got f***ed up. Just trying to ask for an autograph. I don’t know what happened.’

A spokesperson for Fort Lauderdale airport police said ‘it appears that the incident occurred entirely in San Francisco,’ adding that their department had ‘no involvement’ in the matter.

Spokespeople for the San Francisco airport police referred DailyMail.com to JetBlue for further information, but the airline has yet to respond to requests for comment.
