Mike Tyson has revealed he would demand a ‘billion bucks’ to face Jake Paul in a boxing bout, with the former heavyweight king claiming he has ‘no f***ing money’.

Tyson last boxed professionally in 2005, when he was stopped by Kevin McBridge, but stepped back into the sport for his exhibition draw with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

This return sparked speculation that he would be willing to fight again, and ‘Iron Mike’ has revealed he would accept the scrap, albeit for an eye-watering amount.

Questioned on how much money he would want to take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, Tyson said: ‘A billion bucks.

‘We got to get some more [money] man. S***, blue-eyed, blonde hair… that s*** is very expensive.

‘We need to get some more money, man.’

Paul, 25, holds a 5-0 record in professional boxing, having taken up his gloves despite his impressive following across social media.

The rookie has also knocked out every man he has fought so far, including Tyron Woodley, the former UFC welterweight champion.

He and potential next opponent Tyson have spent time together on several occasions, leading Paul to suggest he could lock horns with his compatriot.

Tyson, however, has revealed that he has no information on a potential match-up.

‘Nobody told me that,’ he said on his podcast. ‘Hey, I ain’t got no f***ing money. So, where’s the f***ing contract?

‘I ain’t know nothing about it. Listen, I’ve been smoking with him forever, I did some shrooms with him as well, but I’ve never heard this.

‘I was with him in St Barts not too long ago partying, and he never told me this. I’ve never heard this from nobody, I’ve just heard this from you guys.’

A fight worth $1bn would be unprecedented – with the most successful pay-per-view bout being Floyd Mayweather’s clash with Manny Pacquiao in 2015.

On that occasion, over $400million was generated from the clash of the titans.
