Cody Simpson was overheard complaining about new love Miley Cyrus while swimming at a pool in Sydney, Australia, this week.
But the pair didn’t show any signs of problems on the relationship front as they packed on the PDA during a lunch date back in Los Angeles on Friday.
After enjoying their meal, they were seen walking arm-in-arm down the street glowing with big beaming smiles, on yet another warm and sunny Southern California day.

Cyrus, 26, showed off her casual-cool style in form-fitting black jeans that flared out from the knees down.
She paired it with a black T-shirt and red leather heeled boots.
The Wrecking Ball singer rounded out her ensemble with assorted silver necklaces and bracelets and her blonde and brown tresses styled long and wavy, with some major bangs.

Simpson, 22, went with faded blue jeans and a long-sleeve black shirt.
He also donned a pair of black slip-on sneakers and had his blonde locks teases up in a spiky look.
At one point the Aussie native took the opportunity to hold hands with the pop princess when he took a call on his phone.
This time, however, he’s unlikely to have been offloading about Miley.
Earlier this week, while Simpson was still in Sydney, he was overheard him during a phone call discussing his new romance and how Miley ‘won’t listen to him’.
‘We had a weird one yesterday… not really an argument but she kind of shut down,’ Simpson said, according to a DailyMail.com source.
‘Yeah, it was kind of s**tty, but whatever.’

The singer-actor also talked about how he has been getting criticized by fans in Australia for dating fellow-countryman Liam Hemsworth’s estranged wife.
‘I’m copping s**t here because of [her] exes. You know, her husband is Australian,’ Simpson could be heard saying.
The two singers, who have been close friends for many years, started dating in September, right after her summer fling with Kaitlynn Carter ended and less than two months after she announced her split from Hemsworth.
