Militant vegans publish manifesto for ‘roadmap to animal liberation’ to abolish meat-eating

A militant vegan group has published a ‘how-to guide’ that details the group’s bizarre plan to seek ‘animal liberation’ and abolish meat-eating completely in 40 years.

The manifesto encourages members to wage a war on Australian farmers by entering their properties, ‘documenting the conditions’ and stealing animals.

The guide, written by animal liberation group Direct Action Everywhere, tells members they are following in Martin Luther King Jr’s footsteps by giving ‘animals autonomy over their own bodies’.

According to The West Australian, the movement is called ‘open rescue’ and encourages people to illegally trespass on private property.

‘We do not hide our identities because we are proud of what we are doing and know that we are taking morally just action,’ the manifesto reads.

‘Being a public face to an investigation breaks down the stereotypes of animal activists as criminals, vandals and terrorists.’

The group aims to stop enabling the ‘killing of non-human animals’ and to amplify the animals’ ‘dignity’ and ensure they’re ‘happy, safe and free’.

The group aims to ban the sale of animal flesh in the United States by 2035, grant a ‘legal personhood’ to animals by 2045 and provide ‘species equality’ by 2045.

They also aim to put forward a ‘constitutional bill of animal rights’ by 2055 to ensure animals in captivity are moved to ‘lifetime sanctuary’ and rehabilitate animals who have been harmed by humans.

WAFarmers chief executive Trevor Whittington said the vegans’ actions were ‘un-Australian’.

‘They’re publicly outlining this manifesto and encouraging people to break the law, to follow extreme views, at the cost of people’s property and safety,’ he said.

Mr Whittington suggested people get involved in appropriate animal welfare organisations such as the RSPCA instead.

The handbook also outlines ways to disrupt public events or places by making a scene in public and singing or chanting.

This ‘forces’ the public to pay attention to their message, the manifesto says.

In Australia, vegan extremists have been known to hide anti-dairy stickers on children’s snacks, attack diners at restaurants and raid McDonald’s.

A mother said she found a sticker reading ‘watch Dairy is Scary on YouTube’ on a tub of Pauls Milky Max chocolate snacks at a Woolworths in Ryde, Sydney.

Activists appeared to have taken the pack out of its packaging, put the sticker on, then put the packaging back so the sticker wouldn’t be visible on shelves.

The video the sticker refers to is a graphic attack on dairy farm practices by American vegan campaigner Erin Janus.

It details how cows are impregnated to keep them constantly producing milk, which is harvested to make various dairy products.

Confronting footage shows how cows are artificially inseminated, which Janus likens to rape and admonishes anyone consuming dairy.

Militant vegans also put stickers on meat products at another Woolworths in Melbourne to shame meat-eaters.

‘Warning: This packet contains the dead body of someone who wanted to live,’ a sticker on a container of sliced chicken read.

While some of the group stood silently with signs about animal slaughter other activists began preaching at groups of people enjoying dinner.

‘Male calves are slaughtered as young as six weeks old simply because they don’t produce milk,’ one female activist said.

‘Chicks are blended alive in a macerator or gassed to death simply because they don’t produce eggs.

‘Animals don’t want better lives, they want freedom. We have a choice the animals don’t,’ she concluded.

The group, who were also armed with televisions, were led by leader James Warden, who said they planned to use the televisions to screen the animal rights documentary Dominion.

The piglet was covered in pink, yellow and baby’s-breath flowers and placed on the counter while horrified customers looked on.
