Milo Yiannopoulos lands in Sydney and slams journalists

Milo Yiannopoulos was disappointed ‘terrified’ TV presenters and an outspoken feminist weren’t there to greet him when he landed at Sydney Airport on Wednesday.

The right-wing provocateur arrived in the Harbour City to a group of awaiting reporters, but said there were some who were noticeably absent.

‘I was very disappointed when I landed not to see Clementine Ford, Waleed Aly or Karl Stefanovic,’ Yiannopoulos told Daily Mail Australia minutes after his arrival.

‘Or any other of these superstar journalists who are happy to be brave behind their desks on national news shows but are too terrified to ask this gay guy a couple of questions.’

Yiannopoulos also singled out Studio Ten’s Jessica Rowe as he slammed Australia’s media for refusing to interview him.

‘If they won’t get in a studio with me, how the f*** would they cover a war zone? How would they cover something genuinely traumatic and devastating?

‘How would they cover a refugee crisis – anything substantial. You put these people on a plane to Rwanda and they’d s*** themselves.

‘They can’t speak in a room with me because I disagree with them on political policies. It’s a joke, it’s pathetic. They should be ashamed of themselves.’

Meanwhile, Daily Mail Australia understands Yiannopoulos’ first show in Sydney, scheduled for Thursday night, was cancelled because the owner of the venue didn’t agree with his outspoken views.

‘I don’t believe that that’s the case,’ Yiannopoulos said.

‘Normally when one of my shows gets postponed there’s some sort of protest issue. My understanding is that it was a contractual issue.

‘It was just one of those things that happens. Unlike every other Milo postponement, I don’t think there’s anything untoward this time. The show will go on as planned, just at a different date.’

Thursday night’s show is now scheduled for December 5 at a venue yet to be announced.
