Minnesota Vikings star sends internet wild with hilarious Raygun-inspired touchdown celebration

Minnesota Vikings star Camryn Bynum channeled his inner Raygun after making a crucial late interception in their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Towards the end of the fourth quarter, Bynum paid tribute to the Australian breakdancer by recreating her viral Olympic routine when he intercepted Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones to seal a 12-7 victory for the Vikings.

The Minnesota cornerback celebrated his game-winning contribution with some of Raygun’s infamous dance moves, which sparked a frenzy when she pulled them out in Paris over the summer.

After he emulated her performance in Jacksonville, Bynum said about the internet sensation: ‘I’m a big fan. She went out there and had fun and that’s what I do on the field.

‘I’ve been saving for that and it’s been a while since I did a celly (celebration).’

He then added: ‘It’s been a few weeks (of preparation). I can clown like she did. It didn’t take too much effort.’

Raygun, whose real name is Rachel Gunn, went viral following her unique performance at the Paris Olympics, where she hopped around like a kangaroo and writhed around on the floor like a snake in the breaking competition.

She went on to score no points in all three of her matches during the Games.

While some were left in awe of the Australian, including music sensation Adele – who paused one of her shows to laud her – Raygun received a fierce backlash from many online.

‘It’s been really upsetting,’ she said while ruling out a return at the 2028 Olympics. ‘I just didn’t have any control over how people saw me or who I was.’

The breakdancer was also taken aback by the large number of people who dressed up in her Olympic uniform for Halloween this year.

Several fans went viral online for impersonating Raygun during the spooky festivities, and she admitted: ‘That is just crazy. It is so wild. It is still something that I am trying to process and I don’t think that I will ever process it ever completely.

‘It was not on my bingo card for this year, being the No.1 Halloween costume – I just did not expect that.’
