Miss Bumbum finalists slip into skimpy thongs

It’s a beauty pageant like no other – with women competing to see who has got the best derriere.

And the infamous Miss Bumbum Brazil final took place on Monday night, with glamorous contestants strutting their stuff down the catwalk in Sao Paulo.

Fifteen contestants flaunted their bottoms as they competed for this year’s crown, parading in dazzling sequin bikinis and skimpy thongs.

And it was Rosie Oliveira, from Amazonas, who was voted the winner in this year’s contest, having gone into the competition as a hotly-tipped favourite.

This year’s contest has been marred in controversy, after six contestants were accused of cheating in an earlier round of the competition.

The organisers of the pageant launched an investigation after it was claimed that hi-tech computer software had been used to cast votes for some of the women who progressed through to the final.

According to The Sun, six finalists, including the eventual winner, were deducted 40,000 votes each for using robots or attempting to use robots to ‘interfere with the public vote.’

This year’s competition was said to be more ‘elegant’ than previous years, with bums bigger than 107cm banned from the contest.

Last year’s competition, which was won by Erika Canela, also proved to be controversial as one of the contestants was accused of having bum implants, while another was accxused of rigging the vote.

The Miss Bumbum competition has become world famous since it was launched in 2011 by journalist and entrepreneur Cacau Oliver.

The contest has sparked a copycat version in China, which took place earlier this year.
