‘We had to cut her out. That chunk was about 500 pounds,’ Dakota County Sheriff Tim Leslie told the Star Tribune.

‘It was quite the recovery operation.’

A cause of death has not yet been released but police described Perrault’s death as ‘highly suspicious’.

Investigators found a large ‘significant stain’ on a carpet in her apartment that had soaked into the floor and tested positive for blood.

Perrault lived with her boyfriend, who told police that he last saw her in November when she left with two women to go to a treatment facility.

Friends and family members revealed that Perrault had struggled with alcoholism over the years.

But authorities said that Perrault’s boyfriend’s story changed as the weeks went by, according to KSTP.

Authorities began investigating Perrault’s disappearance on February 22 after two friends reported that she was missing.

Her apartment manager said that the last time he saw Perrault she looked ‘sick’. He guessed that she must have weighed ’85 pounds’.

Perrault’s last picture on Facebook, posted in June, shows that she was receiving chemotherapy at the time.

Friends have since launched a GoFundMe campaign to support Perrault’s children, who live with their father.

It describes Perrault as ‘one of the most giving and down to earth people you will ever meet’.

‘She had an infectious laugh and a sense of humor like no other. Her huge passion for life allowed her to experience so many different things.’

‘Elizabeth left a path of human kindness wherever she went and with whomever she met. Her children are so much like her in so many ways, they will definitely be her legacy.’

‘Elizabeth loved deeply and without conditions. She will be sadly missed.’
