A missing teen from Missouri who was headed to Harvard University in the fall was found dead on Friday.
Haran Kumar, 17, was last seen at approximately 1.20pm on Thursday at is family’s home in St. Louis.
He was then said to have left in a silver Toyota Avalon, according to KMOV.
The student had just graduated from Parkway West High School and was set to attend Harvard.
Kumar planned on studying computer science and history.
Police shared earlier that the teen was known for taking visits to parks and other secluded areas.
Kumar was also said to have suffered from depression and was believed to be suicidal.
Chesterfield police announced the teen ‘s death on Twitter and asked for respect for the boy’s family.

‘In reference to the missing person from yesterday, we are very sad to announce Haran has been found deceased,’ the department said in a tweet.
‘We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and in your prayers. Thank you to everyone who helped in the search.’
