The life of a model is elusive for many of us, but one has let us in on her daily routine, her day on a plate and her favourite beauty tricks.
Australian model Elle Morris, 26, who is known for her Miranda Kerr likeness, revealed how she makes the most of every day.
‘I usually wake up around 6:30am and have a coffee in bed – whoever wakes up first, my boyfriend or myself, will make the coffee in our favourite cups. If I’m trying to detox or cleanse, it will be hot lemon water,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘Next, I’ll take my dog to the park or cuddle him on the couch, make breakfast and then reply to emails.’

‘The morning is definitely my favourite and the most important part of the day for me as it usually determines how my day will turn out,’ Elle said
If Elle has a shoot in the morning it means she’s normally out of the house before sunrise, which involves making a smoothie the night before so she has something to keep hunger at bay in the makeup chair.
Her go-to smoothie is made up of cacao, which she has most days, otherwise she has avocado and Vegemite on sourdough.
‘The morning is definitely my favourite and the most important part of the day for me as it usually determines how my day will turn out,’ Elle said.
‘I think if you can start the day with a positive mind then your day should follow. If you start your morning complaining, you’re attracting negative energy. Say out loud things that you are grateful for and put on some happy music!’

To keep herself going throughout the day she snacks on dates with peanut butter or capsicum and carrot sticks with hummus, her favourite being her homemade beetroot hummus.
Elle’s lunch tends to rotate between a roast veggie wrap and a quinoa and tofu salad bowl.
‘I am super lucky that I live in an apartment with boys that share the same love of cooking as I do – well maybe not as much! But it means that we are always making up gourmet feasts, which are mostly healthy,’ she said.
‘My go-to dinners I cook leading up to a shoot or the night before would be roast veggies and salad with some sort of hummus or pesto, or baked salmon with brown rice and roasted broccolini.
‘However, with the cooler weather at this time of year we’ve been making a lot of healthy but yummy soups with lots of herbs and spices.’

For dessert Elle often finds herself eating dates with peanut butter again: ‘it’s honestly the yummiest snack! I have to stop myself sometimes.’
‘The majority everything of I eat is home cooked. I love cooking and exploring with flavours, and also knowing what’s in the food I’m eating,’ she said.
As Elle has gotten older she says her workout regime has changed completely.
‘I used to be a lot more obsessed with working out than I am now. As I’ve gotten older, I’m a lot more relaxed which you think would be the other way around!’ she explained.
‘Since having my dog Billy, I’m always on the coastal walks, doing the Tamarama stairs or chasing him around the park – so that keeps me pretty active.’

Apart from that, she loves mixing up her classes with Pilates or boxing. She is currently loving Lean Bean Fitness Bondi, which is a balance of barre, boxing, dance and yoga.
With multiple campaigns and photo-shoots keeping her busy, Elle is often short on time so has to occasionally has to do her makeup on the go.
‘I’m often running around from the gym to a shoot to meetings and events all in one day. Having the best beauty products with me where ever, whenever is essential,’ she said.

‘My key makeup products to brighten up the face are tinted moisturiser, blush, brows and lip balm that is preferably rose coloured,’ Elle added.
‘These can all fit in your hand bag.’
If you find yourself really short on time, perhaps from an accidental sleep in, she recommends skipping a full face of makeup in favour of simply applying some red lipstick instead.
‘It will look like you’ve spent half an hour on your look when it only took one minute! Oh, and I love hydration spray – I spritz that before and after my makeup,’ she said.
Elle is known for her natural beauty and she has learnt how to enhance it with makeup, not hide it.

‘I believe glowing skin is the key to natural beauty as it’s important to have a smooth base. At the moment, I’m using the Braun Silk-epil 9 SkinSpa which has 5-in-1 beauty treatments,’ she said
‘Less is more. As soon as you start applying makeup too heavy, it takes away from your natural features. Use what you have instead of trying to cover it up,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘I stimulate blood circulation to improve my skin’s appearance with the deep massage pad attachment – I find it much more effective than using a body brush which can sometimes be harsh on your skin.’

Whenever Elle is feeling flat she will apply fake tan to perk her up, particularly the mousse from Bondi Sands in the ultra-dark.
‘It makes you feel better instantly and the less make up you’ll need,’ she said.
‘I always have hydrated lips and a splash of colour – I have a phobia of dry lips! My go-to is the nude lipstick Velvet Teddy in Matte by MAC – a nude shade is flattering, easy to wear and suits just about anyone.
‘Dry shampoo is also a gamer-changer if you’re having a bad hair day or don’t have time to wash it.’
Although Elle has such a busy schedule she tries to make the most of the time she has and believes it’s important to look after yourself ‘inside and out’.

‘I can get really anxious if I don’t take the time to self-love and appreciate everything and everyone in my life,’ she said.
‘Other ways I spend my time on days off are at the beach in summer. In the cooler months like now, I enjoy my time at home – I’ll buy fresh flowers and new plants for my apartment.
‘Once a week if I get the time, I’ll try to get up to Macmasters Beach on the Central Coast where I grew up and where my family are still based.’
Quality family time is extremely important to the brunette beauty and she said she enjoys the drive that gets her out of Sydney every now and again.
She even continues to wear bikinis that her mum makes, who Elle dubs as the ‘Queen of Swim’.
‘She was self-taught in the 70s to make epic one of a kind bikinis and one pieces,’ Elle explained.
‘She still makes most of mine because the quality and fit of hers are my favourite. But I do love most Aussie swim brands! I’ve always grown up around fabrics and sewing machines as my father made leather and denim bags and jackets.’
