Model Jarrod Scott reveals passion for saving Great Barrier Reef

He’s the genetically blessed model who has worked on campaigns for the likes of Tom Ford, Armani and Givenchy.

And Jarrod Scott has revealed he is much more than a pretty face, with one of his major passions being the Great Barrier Reef. 

Appearing in the current edition of GQ, Jarrod visited the iconic landmark for the magazine’s May issue as part of its Citizens Of the Great Barrier Reef initiative.

‘There’s been a lot of planning and a lot of work on my Reef project and it’s finally good to be able to actually show everyone and start making a difference,’ Jarrod told GQ, as reported by News.com.au this Monday.  

While there was no word on what the project will entail, Jarrod added that the coral reef had long been an obsession of his.

‘It’s definitely something I’m passionate about,’ he said ‘I have my corals and a fish tank here in New York.

He added: ‘I get a bit obsessed over the corals. They’re one of the most amazing things to watch and I could spend all my life there.’

‘I could waste so much time watching the ocean go by,’ he went on. 

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph in 2017, Jarrod revealed that he also had his sights set on an acting career.

‘It’s been something I’ve been working on for a few years but it’s something I never really talk about it until I have something substantial.’

He also admitted his ambitions to Executive Style  adding that he was taking a ‘softly softly’ approach to his thespian tendencies.

‘I spend days reading scripts,’ he said.

He continued: ‘I just want to get in, but my agent knows what will be good for me at the end of the day, so I’ll take it as it comes.’
