A model has revealed the most horrific things that her agents said and did to her ‘as a minor’ – including putting her on a ‘mandatory’ juice cleanse, checking in with her gym instructors to make sure that she was working out everyday, and passing off photographer abuse as ‘what happens in fashion.’
Maddie White, 26, who was born in the U.K. but grew up in Los Angeles, California, opened up about some of the terrible things that her past managers forced her to do when she was just a teen and starting out in the industry.
According to the star – who posed for many big magazines like Harpers Bazaar Japan, Company, and Wylde in her teen years, and has recently become well-known on TikTok for sharing a glimpse into her life as a model, where she has racked up more than 2.8 million followers – her agents would sign her up for daily, 6am Pilates classes, and would speak with the trainers to ensure that she showed up.
She claimed they also told her not to eat fast food or post about it online, and that they once made her consume only juice for seven days straight.

She even alleged that when she told them about an inappropriate situation she was put in with a photographer, in which he ‘tried to force her to take her clothes off’ while they were alone in his home, they brushed it off and told her to ‘get used to it.’

She opened up about the negative aspects of the modeling industry in a TikTok video which quickly went viral – gaining more than two million views since it was posted last month.
‘Fun things modeling agents said to me as a minor,’ she wrote in the clip, as she danced in front of the camera in black biker shorts and a matching sports bra.
She then started listing some of the things her agents told her over the years, including, ‘We’re putting you on a mandatory seven-day juice cleanse and taking the cost out of your paycheck.’
According to Maddie, she was once scolded for was eating food from the popular burger joint Shake Shack.
‘You shouldn’t be eating Shake Shack, let alone posting it on Instagram for clients to see,’ she wrote, as she continued to state the things her managers said to her throughout her career.
‘We’re putting daily 6am Pilates on your work schedule, and we’re gonna check in with the instructor [to make sure] you showed up.’

Last but not least, she claimed that her managers told her, ‘Well this is fashion honey, get used to it,’ after a photographer tried to make her get naked.

In a previous video, she said the incident occurred when she was 17, and that the photographer told her she was ‘never going to make it in the industry if she wasn’t willing to take her undies off.’
Many people were horrified by Maddie’s claims and took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Some other models also spoke out, and shared their own bad incidents.
‘FACTS – I got given a personal trainer when I first started modelling and got told to get to a 23-inch waist,’ one model commented.
Another said, ‘I was straight up just told I was fat,’ while a third added, ‘I remember at 15 sitting on a stool and the photographer looked at my thigh with disgust that naturally should sit flat on a chair and said, “Oh no.”‘
‘I experienced [something] similar so I left and became a technology executive,’ read a fourth comment.

When asked why she never stopped modeling, Maddie explained in the comment section, ‘The unfortunate reality was at the time the money/travel was so good we all just sucked it up’
‘I got told the same thing! Reason why I’m never doing it again,’ someone else wrote.
Others simply shared their dismay, with one person commenting, ‘6am? Juice cleanse? Why don’t they just say, “no happiness allowed?” And that last one… speechless.’
‘My God,’ said a different user. ‘Modeling sounds horrifying.’
Another called it ‘sickening,’ while someone else wrote that it was ‘abominable.’
‘Hell no! The fact that they got away with all this s**t is awful,’ a different person agreed. ‘So sorry you went through that.’
When asked why she never stopped modeling, Maddie explained in the comment section, ‘The unfortunate reality was at the time the money/travel was so good we all just sucked it up.’
