Supermodel Taylor Hill has spoken out to praise her Babylon co-star Brad Pitt, revealing how the seasoned actor helped to calm her nerves on set – while insisting that her fashion career has not helped to give her a leg up in the movie industry.
The 26-year-old has long since established herself as one of fashion’s most successful and consistent stars – having walked the runways for all manner of big-name brands, including Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, and Victoria’s Secret.
But when it came to breaking into acting, Hill told Luisaviaroma’s LVR Magazine that her modeling career did little to prepare her for the realities of life on a movie set.
‘I feel out of my element on a film set, like I’m 14 and starting again and have no idea what is happening,’ she said, adding: ‘The mindfulness and awareness of the camera are completely different, the only similarity is being on camera.’

The 26-year-old has long since established herself as one of the most successful runway stars in the world – but she says her fashion career has not helped to boost her acting potential
Most recently, Taylor appeared in the hit movie Babylon alongside Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, playing one of the love interests of Brad’s character Jack
Taylor was quick to gush about Brad (seen together in the movie), describing him as ‘so nice and super professional’
Thus far, the budding screen star has only secured a handful of small roles – but she insists that the slow burn pace of her work has actually been a blessing, because it has allowed her to ‘dedicate herself to learning a new craft’.
‘I’m taking it step by step and slowly getting my feet wet,’ she explained. ‘I want to do that and do it well. You start at the bottom and work your way up.’
Through her work as a model, Taylor has mingled with some of the most prominent names in Hollywood – and is herself a household celebrity at this point.
But when she was cast in a small role in major blockbuster movie Babylon alongside Brad, Margot Robbie, and Olivia Wilde, she’s says it was still a bit of a shock to the system.
‘I felt nervous,’ she admits. ‘I am green in the acting world and with these powerful, influential people, so I was in the same headspace as the character. At the same time, I was doing my job.’
However, she was quick to gush about the way in which Brad made her feel more comfortable on the set.
‘It was pretty cool, as I was on set… and sitting next to Brad Pitt, which is never a bad thing,’ she recalled. ‘He [Pitt] was so nice and super professional. I was nervous but felt comfortable by the end of the day. He lets you know you are doing a great job.’
Taylor played the role of Rebecca, a love interest of Pitt’s womanizing alcoholic character Jack – a part that she describes as being ‘small but pivotal’.
While she says she is eager to ‘dedicate herself to learning a new craft’, Taylor insists she is not ready to walk away from her modeling career
Instead, she says she is enjoying the balance of working in two ‘creative’ industries
Taylor has already landed her next role – another small part in the upcoming comedy short Stealing Pulp Fiction
When she’s not strutting her stuff on the runways, Taylor’s private life is a world away from the glitzy Hollywood lifestyle that she leads in the public eye
Instead of settling down in New York or Los Angeles, where much of her work in the US takes place, Taylor settled on Nashville, after falling in love with the city during a girls’ trip
The role was still a step up from Taylor’s first foray into acting, which saw her playing the part of ‘flirty model #1’ in 2016 psychological horror flick The Neon Demon, which featured a host of big-name stars including Elle Fanning and Keanu Reeves.
The movie received incredibly mixed reviews – earning just a 58 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes – but for the model, it served as her first real acting experience and helped her to realize that she wanted to pursue more opportunities in the industry.
Six years later, Taylor is still carefully honing ‘her craft’, working regularly with an acting coach – although she admits that the jet-set travel required for her modeling career can make it difficult to keep up with her training.
She insists that she isn’t ready to walk away from modeling and won’t be pursuing acting ‘full-time’ anytime soon, but says that she is enjoying experimenting with a new ‘creative’ outlet.
Taylor has already landed her next role – another small part in the upcoming comedy short Stealing Pulp Fiction, which she appears in alongside Cazzie David, daughter of iconic comedian Larry.
When she’s not strutting her stuff on the runways or appearing in front of a film camera, Taylor’s private life is a world away from the glitzy Hollywood lifestyle that she leads in the public eye.
Having grown up in Colorado in a small ski town called Winter Park, the model says she found the concept of suddenly jetting around the world to castings and shoots somewhat unbelievable.
So it made sense that when it came to making a home for herself and her fiance, Daniel Fryer, she chose a spot far away from Hollywood, New York, Paris, or Milan, the cities that have played such pivotal roles in her fashion and acting careers.
Taylor revealed to LVR Magazine that she is planning to tie the knot with her fiance Daniel Fryer this Spring – two years after he popped the question during an Italian vacation in June 2021
Instead, Taylor opted for Nashville, a somewhat spur-of-the-moment choice that was prompted by a girls’ trip to the city in Tennessee, during which she casually scoped out a few properties on Zillow and happened upon one that she believed was perfect for her and her partner.
Daniel popped the question to Taylor during a romantic trip to Italy in June 2021 – and she revealed in her interview with LVR Magazine that the pair are planning to tie the knot this Spring, although she remained tight-lipped about any ofthe other details.
The model and her fiancé were first linked back in February of 2020, when they were spotted holding hands around Los Angeles.
Daniel is a cannabis entrepreneur who runs the research company Arcadia Analitica and is a principal in the London-based firm Cannatlantic.
When it comes to Taylor’s future, other than continuing to pursue her career as one of the world’s top models and keep up with her budding acting career, the fashion star says she doesn’t have any rigid goals in place that she’s trying to achieve – noting that she’s always been the kind of person who ‘wings it’.
‘I’m a Pisces. I love to keep my mind open to anything and take it as it comes,’ she said.
‘I feel so young and need to see where time takes me… I can’t imagine where I will be in another 12 years.’
