Model whose bikie husband ‘died with a lethal injection of drugs’ embroiled in bitter legal dispute

A former bikini model and widow of a notorious bikie who is believed to have been killed by a cocktail of drugs known as a ‘hot shot’ is embroiled in a bitter legal dispute over his remains.

Surfers Paradise stay-at-home-mum Rachel Elizabeth Ciano was widowed when her late husband Ricky Ciano was found dead in the back of his luxury BMW in western New South Wales in February 2017.

Mr Ciano’s ex-wife and mother of his daughter, Central Coast woman Bianca Barnier, is disputing what to do with the late bikies ashes, the Courier Mail reported.

Both women faced the Queensland Supreme Court to decide where Mr Ciano”s ashes should be interred.

However Mrs Ciano told the court she had already gone ahead and spread her late husband’s ashed into the sea at Surfer Paradise.

‘I confirm all of my late husband’s ashes have now been scattered in this location and no other ashes remain,’ she told the court.

Miss Barnier along with Mr Ciano’s father and sister, Samantha Gjurovski, told the court they wanted to take his ashes back to Sydney where they had intended on interring him beside his late mother.

Miss Gjurovski had sent text messages to Mrs Ciano in November 2017 to work out how they would arrange Mr Ciano’s ashes.

‘I understand you don’t want any contact from us, however I just needed to ask when you are planning on burying Ricky’s ashes?’ she wrote.

‘I do hope that you will find it in your heart to tell us what your plans are? And if he will still be buried with his mother as planned? Thank you.

Police are yet to solve the death of Mr Ciano but the belief is that we was given a lethal cocktail of drugs, commonly known as a ‘hot shot’, shortly after heading to Bathurst.

According to the Daily Telegraph Ciano owed ‘hundreds of thousands’ of dollars to a senior Lone Wolf bikie.

They believe the 2015 attempt on the 35-year-old’s life, where a ‘pizza delivery boy’ turned up to kill him, was in relation to the debt.

Ciano was found ‘half dressed’ and sprawled in the back of his car in rural NSW, after travelling from the Gold Coast to Sydney to ‘visit his daughter’.

Police believe he went to a town near Bathurst in the state’s central west, visiting a property being used as a drug lab, shortly before his death.

They believe he was ‘possibly injected with a hotshot by someone else’ before death.
