Mollie Meldrum wears a pair of CROCS on the red carpet at MTV event

Music legend Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum has had his fair share of health issues in the past couple of years.

But the 75-year-old appeared healthy and happy as he walked confidentially down the red carpet at the MTV Unplugged music event in Melbourne on Wednesday night.

The music guru brandished infectious smile, wearing his iconic cowboy hat paired with a brightly coloured slogan tee, coral jacket and a pair of black Crocs.

Good golly Molly! Music legend Meldrum wears a pair of Crocs as he walks the red carpet at a MTV event and looks healthy and happy after recent health struggles

Molly seemed to be in high spirits as he stopped to pose on the carpet for the snappers before entering the music event with Australian music group Gang of Youths.

The rare red carpet appearance comes after the record producer suffered multiple health issues in the past few years.

In 2011, Molly suffered serious life-threatening injuries after falling off a ladder at his home in Melbourne, Australia while putting up Christmas decorations.

He suffered broken ribs, punctured lungs and had a severe brain injury, which resulted in him having to be placed in an induced coma while the swelling on his brain subsided.

And Molly’s unfortunate accidents didn’t end there.

In 2016, while holidaying in Bangkok, he slipped and fell outside his hotel dislodging a vertebrae, which left him only six millimetres of being paralysed from the waist down.

The accident resulted in him being rushed to the emergency room to have surgery and returned to Australia in a wheelchair.

Meanwhile, in 2017, at the 59th Annual TV Week Logie Awards, Molly crashed Samuel Johnson’s Gold Logie-winning acceptance speech with a series of f-bombs.

Molly seemed to reflect his most memorable moments in the industry while slurring his words onstage.

He later apologised for the interruptions telling The Daily Telegraph,’I profusely apologise if I upset anyone’.
