Molly-Mae Hague turns off comments under the post announcing she named her baby daughter Bambi – after admitting some would hate the choice

She revealed to the world on Tuesday that she had named her baby daughter Bambi in a sweet Instagram post.

But Molly-Mae Hague has now turned off the comments underneath the photo – after previously admitting that some would ‘hate’ the name choice.

The former Love Island star, 23, shared the moniker with her seven million followers with a snap of her baby girl’s name in illuminated letters overlooking her the cot.

Molly-Mae shared an adorable image of her daughter nestled in her cot next to a Bambi toy, with her name illuminated in lights on the wall.

But the star has now made it impossible for fans and followers to comment on the post and share their thoughts on the choice.

She said ahead of the birth: ‘It’s not made up, it’s totally not made up, I can’t explain it. It’s just not a name that’s ever been used before. It’s very very different and rare and you’re either going to love it or hate it.

‘I’ve had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It’s always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I’ve always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too.

‘It’s a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I’ve not seen any other girls with the name before, it’s that different.’

Molly-Mae welcomed a baby girl with her boyfriend Tommy Fury last week.

The influencer, who met the boxer on the ITV2 show in 2019, confirmed the news on Monday as she revealed that their little girl was one week old.

And it comes after Tommy’s boxing rival Jake Paul let the news slip last week in a post advertising their upcoming fight, where he said said that there were ‘no excuses’ for the match to be delayed now that the ‘baby is born’.

In October, Molly-Mae and Tommy revealed that they were expecting a baby girl, popping a gender reveal balloon which showered them with pink confetti.

Announcing her pregnancy in September, Molly-Mae took to Instagram to share a heartwarming video of Tommy kissing her growing bump.
