Mom blogger shares mesmerizing time lapse of growing belly

A woman who was told she had less than a one per cent chance of getting pregnant celebrated the miraculous news that she was expecting a child by creating a stunning time lapse video charting the growth of her baby bump.

Jasmine Katatikarn, a computer animator and blogger, and her husband Matt, were desperate to have a baby and tried everything to conceive, including multiple IVF and IUI treatments; they were left devastated when doctors revealed that their chances of getting pregnant were less than one per cent.

The couple refused to give up, however, and at the start of 2015, were overjoyed to discover that they were expecting a baby together, deciding to mark the miracle pregnancy by creating a time lapse video of the growing baby bump, taking images of Jasmine’s tummy each and every day.

Growing and growing! The video sees her belly swell, her family switch apartments and even travel the globe. She also announced she’s launched her own app Pregmo to create the video

Glowing mom-to-be Jasmine, now pregnant with her second miracle baby, took to Instagram to share the mesmerizing 45-second time lapse video that displays photos she took every single day during her pregnancy with Teagan, now 20 months old.

The video starts with an excited Jasmine lifting her shirt to reveal her flat stomach in the comfort of her home, finally pregnant after exhausting rounds of fertility treatments.

It then sifts through daily photos, some in casual T-shirts and jeans and others in glamorous formal outfits. As time progresses we see seasonal fashion changes with toasty sweaters and winter puffer coats before a return to festive summer dresses.

Jasmine even traveled during her nine months and has shots during vacation escapades in front of regal churches, in lush cherry blossom gardens, on the beach, and even in the mountains dressed in hiking gear.

The film moves at mesmerizing lightening speed and quickly lapses back to summer as her belly get heavier and heavier. The clip even displays Jasmine and her family packing up their house and moving into a new apartment surrounded by boxes and new furniture.

The end of the clip displays the walls of the new house painted a chirpy yellow and art quickly hung up, as her belly grows to an eye-popping size.

And right when it seems she can’t get any bigger a stroller appears in the background and Jasmine’s arms cradle her swaddled newborn while sporting a contagiously gigantic smile.

In her post she also announced she’s launched an app called Pregmo to help other expecting mothers record their daily belly progressions to create their own time lapses.

Earlier in the week Jasmine took to Instagram in her famed side profile belly-flaunting position, but this time accompanied by her daughter nicknamed T, who has her shirt lifted and claps her hands on her tummy to mimic her mom.

‘#18weekspregnant – both our bellies are growing,’ she announced in the caption and revealed she’s already started on baby number two’s timelapse.

‘One thing I forgot about being pregnant, but recently remembered is the honeymoon stage of pregnancy,’ she added on the happy phase where her belly shows but she doesn’t feel uncomfortable quite yet.

‘It’s like walking around with a new puppy – people will let their guard down and are incredibly nice and friendly … let’s just hope they don’t pat my belly,’ she joked.

Her Instagram and blog catalog her entire fertility journey including her IVF transfer, ultra sounds, and weekly updates on her current pregnancy with her second child.

The blogger even took to YouTube in a 23-minute-long video to share her entire five year struggle and road to pregnancy.

Her message, which she updates most frequently on Instagram, has inspired her 29,500 Instagram followers who experience similar issues, to be encouraged and hopeful in their fertility journey.
