Moment little girl escapes death by INCHES when speeding van crashes into bridge in India [Video]

This is the horrifying moment a little girl escaped death by inches when a speeding van crashed into a bridge in India.

The CCTV footage was captured in Srinagar, the largest city of the Jammu and Kashmir region, on April 23 during the middle of the day.

The video shows a group of women chatting away and standing on a bridge while a young girl plays.

The traffic on a nearby road appears to be busy, with the sound of cars honking their horns. 

Seconds later, a white van steers off the road and towards the bridge.

It misses the little girl by inches as it speeds across the edge of the bridge and smashes through a metal fence.

The shocked girl runs towards the women as the van hurtles off the side of the bridge into the river below.

Seconds later, a white van steers off the road and towards the bridge, narrowly missing the child

The driver and his passenger miraculously escaped unharmed. The young girl was said to have been shaken up by the incident.

Last month a woman in China had a similar escape when a car flew off the road and hit the tree she was sitting under.

CCTV footage shows the car smashing into a parked moped next to the woman, who had been intently staring at her phone screen. 

The car hurtled past her with inches to spare before ploughing into the tree in the city, which is in the western Chinese province of Yunnan.

The elderly driver and the woman only sustained minor injuries.
