Moment massive brawl breaks out over racial slurs during Hispanic Heritage Night at Cubs game

A brutal bleacher brawl broke out a Cubs game during Hispanic Heritage night on Monday after fans hurled racist slur, according to witnesses who saw the fight unfold.

The altercation started during the 7th inning of the Cub’s 5-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates, where fans were able to buy reduced tickers and t-shirts that said ‘Los Cubs.’

Two videos posted by Danny Rocket – who hosts a Cubs podcast called the Son Ranto Show – shows a group of people scrap and squabble as security tries to break them up at the end of the game.

A massive brawl that started with arguing in the 7th inning happened on Monday at Wrigley Field during Hispanic Heritage Night

The fight occurred in the left field bleachers as the game came to a close, but witnesses say that the ‘white’ dudes started the fight in the 7th inning.

As the tussle continues, one man can be heard screaming that he has been punched in the face while another yells ‘There’s no fighting in the bleachers!’

While the fight begins to die down, a man screams a slew of profanities before calling the group ‘spics’ and a woman can then be seen slapping him across the face.

More fighting follows but eventually security is able to separate the two parties, and people try to retrieve their things.

The second video shows a shouting match between the prejudice man and one of his assailants. The assailant argues with security about being escorted out before telling the man ‘f**k you.’

The other man retaliates, calling his assailant a ‘beaner’ and a ‘spic’ before realizing he is being filmed.

There is a scuffle as the group tries to stop the recording but the racist man can clearly be heard stating: ‘If my unit sees this I am dead.’

Security could be heard shouting at Rocket and telling him not to film the altercation, adding that it is against ‘policy.’

On social media, people tried to work out details as to what led to the fight.

According to user @BleacherJeff, a witness at the scene, the fight started because of the racial slurs.

Chicago Cubs spokesman Julian Green said that all the parties involved were escorted from the stadium but none of them would state who started the fight.

‘We don’t know the nature of what caused the fight, but both parties were escorted out,’ Green told the Chicago Sun Times.

He added that the Cubs ‘have zero tolerance against fighting and insensitive language and behavior. … Both parties were informed by police and security that they are not welcomed back to the stadium for 2018.’

Green did correct the security staff and asserted that there was no policy against filming in the stadium.
