Video does show the boat circling on the river twice. The men said the vessel eventually straightened itself out before traveling toward a dock at a high rate of speed.

Authorities dispatched a helicopter that directed marine units to the passengers and stayed over the vessel until it crashed.

All three men were able to swim to a nearby sailboat. One of the men suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Police didn’t release any other details about the individuals involved.

The investigation into the cause of the incident has been turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
