‘Wildlife Officers from the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection set a trap to catch the crocodile after it reportedly killed two dogs and a calf.’

Boar Creek is in Zone E under the Queensland Crocodile Management Plan.

‘The management objective for Zone E (Boar Creek) is to reduce the likelihood of a crocodile attack on people by removing crocodiles displaying concerning behaviour,’ the department said.

The department strongly reminds residents and visitors that crocodiles could always be lurking in waterways, no matter how many have been removed.

The animal that was removed on Monday is expected to be taken to a zoo.
