Monty Don returned to the stage on Saturday for the first time after being rushed to A&E following a mystery health scare.
The Gardeners’ World star, 69, was forced to cancel six gigs during his An Audience With Monty Don tour after he had to stay in hospital for several days.
Monty has since resumed his tour and shared a gallery of snaps on Instagram from inside Cambridge’s Corn Exchange and Ipswich to reveal he is back.
Sharing a snap of his dressing room, he wrote: ‘I’m back on the road and at the Regent theatre Ipswich.
‘As dressing rooms go this has the charm of a polling booth- but the theatre is great and it will be a good evening.

The second post showed the empty Cambridge theatre before his audience arrived and he revealed: ‘Last time I was here was in 1977 to watch wrestling…’
In Monty’s dressing room he had pieces of fruit, teabags and plenty water to keep him hydrated and healthy during the evening performance.
The star will have been glad to be back in front of his fans after being forced to cancel his shows in Exeter, Truro, Bath, and Nottingham last weekend.
Explaining the situation in an Instagram video, Monty said: ‘Hello. I am so sorry to have disappointed all those people who were going to come and see me in Exeter and Truro and Bath and Nottingham.’
He revealed that his health took a sudden turn just over a week ago.
The TV personality continued: ‘I was rushed to A&E. I was kept in at the hospital over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and had to have drips and all the rest of it.’
But the star reassured fans that his condition had improved and he was back home resting.
He said: ‘I came home last night, and I’m feeling much better. I’m going to spend the next few days quietly recuperating here at home and hopefully by the weekend I’ll be back to full fitness.’

During the show, Monty shares his passion for gardens and the unique role they play in human inspiration and wellbeing.
Monty has been making TV programmes for over 30 years and has been lead presenter of the BBC’s Gardener’s World since 2003.
After his sellout tour in 2022, Monty headed back out on the road around the UK in November where he has shared his career in gardening, detail his favourite gardens – both ancient and modern, and reveal how he fell in love with the natural world.
It is unknown whether he will make up the dates he missed at a later date but his final scheduled tour date is December 2.
