A father-of-one has revealed he spent $15,000 on cosmetic procedures so he could ditch his dad bod and be a better role model for his son.
Last year, Steven Georges, 30, underwent state-of-the-art liposuction to remove fat from his stomach, hips, chest and upper back.
And while the surgery set the Sydneysider back thousands, Mr Georges told FEMAIL he doesn’t regret spending a single cent.
‘The surgery has given me a whole new outlook on life. I look better, I’m breathing better, and now I’m training better.’

The self-employed business owner explained though he dieted and exercised to shift unwanted weight, he sought out the procedure to remove ‘stubborn fat.’
Prior to the treatment, which he had in October 2017, Mr Georges admitted his self-confidence and self-esteem were flagging.
Mr Georges had Vaser 4D liposuction – a form of minimally invasive liposuction surgery that uses ultrasound technology.

He had two three-hour treatments to sculpt his body at a Sydney cosmetic surgery clinic. The treatments were three days apart and cost a total of $15,000.
While Mr Georges only spent one week off work recovering, he explained it took his body nearly six weeks to heal.
Although the procedure was costly, Mr Georges said it was the best thing he’s done.

Mr Georges, a new dad to a two-month old son, said it was the pending birth of his child that motivated him to get in better shape.
‘The real reason I got the it [the procedure] done was that I didn’t want to be a really slow and lazy dad.’
And Mr George isn’t alone in his desire to sport a better looking body.

Statistics from the Cosmetics Physicians College of Australasia show there has been an increase in men getting work done.
But while more are seeking ways to surgically sculpt themselves, research from Yale University showed that women find the ‘dad bod’ attractive.
The study, published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B, revealed a positive relationship between a man’s attractiveness to a woman; and their perceived upper body strength.
Surgeons from one of Sydney’s leading cosmetic surgery clinics say there has been a significant increase in the number of men seeking out treatment
Cosmos Clinic in Sydney offers a range of cosmetic procedures for men to help with modifying the body in all manner of ways from sculpting abs to minimising man boobs.
4D Vaser liposuction is one of the more popular treatments and the clinic reports there has been a 50 per cent increase in men seeking this out to a range of target problem areas.
‘Men are talking and cosmetic procedures are more socially acceptable and procedures are less invasive an safer now,’ Dr Francesco Fascetti from Cosmos Clinic in Sydney said.
A condition known as gynaecomastia can cause men to grow extra breast gland tissue
He explained that the liposuction procedure is used to remove stubborn fat from the upper and lower abdomen, the hips, the back and the chest.
Men with enlarged male breasts – a condition known as gynaecomastia – can also have a procedure to remove glands from within their chest.
‘Men who have this condition often have serious problems with their self-confidence.
‘We have had countless patients say this procedure has changed their lives for the better.’
Mr Georges revealed that since his procedure he has found the motivation and commitment to keep taking care of himself and has lost a further seven kilograms
Mr Georges also agrees his life – and his body – is in great shape following his procedure.
‘I’ve lost another seven kilos,’ he said.
‘It’s completely changed my life, and it’s given me a whole new perspective,’ he concluded.
