Morgan Wallen is hit in the face by THONG underwear thrown by overzealous fan in shock moment during Minneapolis concert

Morgan Wallen was hit in the face by a fan’s thong during a recent performance in Minneapolis.

The singer, 31, who recently beat Taylor Swift’s record for most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, was struck in the face with the item of underwear at the US Bank Stadium.

Video from the incident shows the singer belting out I Had Some Help, grabbing the offending panties, and quickly throwing them into the crowd on the other side of the stage at the US Bank Stadium.

The award winning artist is in the middle of his One Night at a Time tour, which will take him all over North America and Europe with concerts through September 8.

The artist has not commented on the incident as he recently deleted his Instagram account.

Throwing items at artists during concerts is nothing new, but has taken a dangerous tone at times.

Last summer, Wallen was signing autographs when an impatient fan tossed a boot at him for his autograph and instead he threw the footwear in the opposite direction.

Bebe Rexha, sustained a black eye and needed stitches for a cut on her eyebrow last summer when she was hit by a mobile phone a fan threw on the stage during a show in New York last year.

The suspect, Nicolas Malvagna, was charged with assault.

At the time of his arrest, the then-27-year-old said, ‘I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.’

Rolling Stone reported that the charges could be dropped if he completed 40 days of community service.

Malvagna must also honor the six-month restraining order requiring him to stay away from Rexha.

In the meanwhile, Wallen has been focusing on other issues on his to-do list.

The Cowgirls artist recently donated $100,000 to revamp the baseball fields he played on as a kid in his native Tennessee.

The changes to fields in New Market and Jefferson City will include a new press boss, more fencing and outfield wall options and fixes to make both safer, according to the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

The charity also recently donated funds for a Tennessee high school band to replace one of its drum sets.
