The most viewed homes for sale online have been revealed, with asking prices ranging from £130,000 to an eye-watering £22.5million.

The most expensive property in our list is on one of the most expensive streets in the country – London’s Compton Avenue.

The six-bedroom property has been left to rot and yet still has a hefty asking price of a £22.5million. 

However, it comes with planning permission for a new detached six-bedroom house, so a buyer could have a stunning new family home if they are willing to pump vast sums of money into the project.

By contrast, the cheapest property in our list is a three-bedroom mid terrace home in South Yorkshire’s Barnsley.

It extends across four floors and includes an attic room. The property is currently on the market with a price tag of £130,000.

It compares to the average price of a property sold in Britain during the past 12 months of £351,883, according to Zoopla.

The list of the most popular homes for sale online are from the past 30 days on Zoopla.

The property website’s Daniel Copley, said: ‘A wide range of properties have caught the attention of buyers this month, including a well-maintained family home on sale in Swansea for £270,000 and a mega-mansion in Hertfordshire for £15million. 

‘Doer-uppers are also proving popular with properties requiring a complete refurbishment in Yorkshire and London also featuring on the list.’

This is less than the average property sold in Britain during the past 12 months of £315,787, according to Zoopla.

But the buyer will need deep pockets as a significant amount of money is required to renovate the property. It currently stands as a rot in more than an acre of land.

Northallerton estate agency is handling the sale and explains that the property is ‘in need of complete renovation’.
