A mother has been arrested after she allegedly pimped out her mentally disabled daughter to seven men before blackmailing them to pay her thousands of dollars.
The 39-year-old was arrested at her Bangkok apartment on Christmas day after an arrest warrant was issued by Udon Thani court on November 29.
Multiple men reported the woman to police after she allegedly extorted money from them by accusing them of trying to have sex with her 19-year-old daughter.

A 24-year-old salesman said he met the daughter on the Badoo dating app, where they exchanged phone numbers and arranged to meet at Hong Han Hospital on June 3, Bangkok Post reported.
He told police when he met the 19-year-old he found her attractive but quiet and they spent the night together at a resort.
Shortly after the date his father told him two women dressed in government uniforms went to the house and said the man had ‘lured the 19-year-old to have sex’.
The women, including the 39-year-old mother, allegedly threatened to arrest the young man and demanded 250,000 baht ($11,800 AUD) from him.
He paid 50,000 baht upfront and asked to pay the remaining money a week later before he finally found out the girl was mentally handicapped and was being used by the mother to extort men.
Police summoned the mother’s friend for questioning where she confessed the 39-year-old had listed her daughter on the dating app despite the girl not being able to read or write.

She had taken her daughter to extort six other men in Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon and Nong Bua Lamphu.
After thorough investigation police sought an arrest warrant for the mother where they searched the apartment and seized the government uniforms on December 25.
Her daughter was also in the apartment during the raid and the 39-year-old was taken for questioning at the police station.
While she denied extortion charges she did admit to wearing the government uniforms and was charged with ten counts of extortion.
