Mother accuses her neighbour of being a paedophile for installing security cameras

A couple have gone to great lengths to stop their neighbour’s CCTV cameras encroaching on their property.

Queensland couple, Michael and Jenny have been arguing with their neighbour, Brendan, against the installation of CCTV cameras since the moment they went in.

They’ve resorted to drastic measures, including an attack with their pooch’s poop, snipping Brendan’s hose, and hurling a constant stream of verbal abuse at the neighbour and his mother.

Unfortunately for the couple, Brendan appeared unfazed by the attacks.

In an interview with A Current Affair, the neighbour’s at war appear to have exhausted all efforts of reconciliation, including the involvement of police, local council and a Queensland Tribunal.

Jenny’s primary concern, she told the program, in relation to the cameras, was the precarious position it put her in in regard to the safety of her children.

Jenny found that her children’s play areas were easily accessible online as a result of Brendan’s weathercam live stream.

Despite Brendan since turning the camera in order to avoid this in future, Jenny and Michael say the cameras need to be removed entirely.

They’ve gone so far as to create makeshift signs, accusing their neighbour of being a ‘creep’ – claims Brendan vehemently denied.

Hurling abusive phrases at their neighbour, who lives alone with his elderly mother, the couple say they will refuse to stop until their demands are met… which don’t just stop at the cameras.

The second of their major concerns, was Brendan’s affiliation with nature and his love of birds.

Brendan says his mother loves the colourful rainbow lorikeets that occasionally grace their acreage, and decided to establish rows of bird baths in order to attract them more frequently.

Michael and Jenny, however, aren’t quite as enthralled by the chirping birds.

They found the feathered friends unbearable, and couldn’t stand the sound.

Since their requests to have the bird baths removed went on ignored, the couple, again, took matters into their own hands.

Footage clearly captured Jenny stuffing the bird baths, which were placed on a fence that borders on her property, with compost.

The behaviour was then imitated by one of her children, who took it upon themselves to stuff their dog’s faeces into a bird bath.

Brendan didn’t appear to be an entirely innocent victim in this dispute, appearing to take a guilty pleasure out of the neighbours reactions, who believed the motive behind a lot of his actions was to antagonize them.

Brendan dumped a trailer load full of bamboo that ended up on his side of the fence right on the couple’s drive way.

‘Any normal person would just throw them back over the fence but obviously he is trying to upset us and antagonize us by blocking our driveway,’ Jenny said.

Footage even captured him purposefully driving over the couple’s nature strip in order to get to his front yard.

‘We wouldn’t have built here if we had have known we were going to get neighbours like that,’ Brendan said.
