Mother reports ex-Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley

Bruno Langley (pictured outside court) was given a 12-month community order for sexually molesting women in a club

A teenager claims shamed Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley attempted to pursue her on social media.

The actor was last week given a 12-month community order for sexually molesting women in a Manchester club while drunk.

Now the youngster has come forward claiming Langley approached her in a gym in 2015, when she was 15, before allegedly asking her on Twitter if she was ‘single’.

The girl told The Sun: ‘He asked my age. It creeped me out. I walked away but he kept following.’

She alleges her wrote on Twitter: ‘You’re absolutely beautiful. Are you single?’

Police are ‘assessing’ the alleged incident, according to The Sun.

Langley said: ‘Over the years as an actor I have had hundreds of people that approach me and want to speak to me, and I also get many messages through social media.

‘I have no recollection of an exchange that The Sun state happened over two years ago.

‘I would not have conversed with a girl in the manner The Sun alleges, if I knew she was under the age of 16.

‘I have never been contacted by any authority about an allegation of this nature.’

The actor molested four women at a Manchester music venue last month, but was only charged with sexually assaulting two of them.

Langley – who played gay character Todd Grimshaw in the soap – wept in the dock last week as he avoided jail after admitting both offences.

His lawyer told the hearing: ‘Something happened that night, most possibly in relation to the character he was playing.’

It is understood his comments refer to the stress Langley felt being a straight man playing a gay character.

Langley was in the Band on the Wall club in the early hours of October 1 when he touched the two women.

Instead of a jail term, the 34-year-old was ordered to complete a 12-month community order and submit to a curfew.

He was also ordered to pay £250 to each of his two victims. He must also sign the sex offenders’ register for the next five years.
