A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a barrier and falling from an overpass in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to the Syd Enfield Drive overpass which runs from the city to Bondi after the rider crashed into a barrier and fell over the side about 1.30pm on Friday.
The man, who hasn’t been formally identified, died at the scene.

The bike continued to move along the road and crashed into other vehicles, reported Daily Telegraph.
Traffic was backed up along Syd Enfield Drive and Old South Head Road, causing chaos in eastbound and outbound directions with motorists advised to use Edgecliff Road to access Old South Head Road.
Old South Head Road is closed heading northbound and there is no access from Syd Einfeld Drive onto Old South Head Road.
