A man on a motorcycle was caught on camera dramatically rear ending a car before hurtling through the air as he soars over its roof to land on the side of the highway.
In the video’s description, a YouTuber, who goes by the name ‘jmcminn,’ wrote that the startling incident occurred during a drive home.
The YouTuber happened to have both a front and back dashboard camera rolling at the time of the accident, allowing for the shocking footage’s capture from multiple points of view.

The video starts off with the rear camera’s view, in which jmcminn’s car can be seen crawling through traffic in the left lane of the highway.
Suddenly, a man on a white motorcycle heaves into view, rapidly approaching the car.
As the motorcyclist nears the car, it’s evident that he is not looking where he’s going — instead, he’s got his head turned completely to the right.
The motorcyclist doesn’t turn to look forward until a split second before he rams into the car, at which point it’s too late to course correct and he goes flying forward, off the bike, and out of view, losing a shoe in the process.
The video then switches to the front dashboard camera’s POV.

All of this action occurs in the space of about six seconds.
The video ends with some static shots of the aftermath of the accident showing the damage to the back of jmcminn’s bumper and trunk, as well as the crushed front wheel of the car.
The YouTuber wraps up the video by noting that the motorcyclist fled the accident scene just two minutes later, presumably on foot.
It’s believed that the motorcyclist was traveling at a rate of 60mph when he smashed into the back of the car.
