Motorcylist busted at 192km/h in Brisbane

A Brisbane motorcyclist has been busted going 192km/h in an 80-kilometre zone.

Police say the rider was detected in the Brisbane Airport Link tunnel at Windsor over the weekend.

The incident comes after a P-Plater lost his licence after being caught driving 215 km/h in a 110 km zone in northern Queensland on Thursday.

More than 25,000 Queensland drivers have been caught speeding since just before Christmas.

Meanwhile, 59 drivers were charged with drink driving on Saturday, with one motorist allegedly recording a blood alcohol level of 0.224 per cent, or more than five times the legal limit on the Sunshine Coast.

Six people have died on Queensland roads so far during the holiday period, up from three for the same period a year ago.
