As reported by Get French Football News, when asked whether his own future depends on whether Pochettino stays, Sissoko said: ‘Not necessarily, I don’t know. At the end of the season, it could be that they have a new project, that a new coach comes, and he doesn’t count on me, he wants to sell me.

‘Many different things could happen. But for the moment I feel good there, I am happy there. And in my head I have no thoughts of leaving.’

Sissoko struggled upon joining Tottenham but has performed much more impressively of late.

The 29-year-old, who can make an impact whether deployed out wide or in central midfield, is under contract until the summer of 2021.

He said: ‘Today I feel good over there, this year everything is going well for me. I am still under contract with them so all is good. But as he (Serge Aurier) said, and you know it better than me, anything can happen in football very quickly.’

Although he has yet to win a trophy as Tottenham boss, Pochettino has helped to transform the club, making them perform much more consistently.

Tottenham finished fourth in the Premier League this campaign, securing a spot in the Champions League for another season.

Pochettino has also received much praise for working with limited resources, with Tottenham having not made a senior signing since bringing in Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.
