Witnesses claim he threw empty bottles onto the floor and hurled a stool across the bar in a fit of rage.

A six-year-old child there celebrating his parents birthday was said to be ‘terrified’ by the ordeal.

Celia’s husband Nick Sawyer said they had popped in for a drink where they saw a ‘number of people’, including Mr Grinnall.

Speaking to The Sun, Mr Sawyer said: ‘We said hello to Neil and his girlfriend turned up. Then we had to go home for the kids. Next morning I was told Neil had kicked off.’

Mrs Sawyer added: ‘I don’t know Neil well. I wouldn’t stand with someone who was misbehaving.’

Mother Laura Dutton, who was eating at the restaurant with her child at the time, told the Bournemouth Echo: ‘We were sat finishing up our meal and enjoying what had been a lovely holiday when we heard the smashing,’ added Mrs Dutton.

She said: ‘This man picked up the stool and launched it across the bar. It was terrifying.

She said: ‘Most of the customers had no idea what was going on and many people thought it was some kind of robbery taking place.

‘My son was so petrified that he ran outside and I had to sit with him and calm him down.’

Her previous clients include Cheryl Cole, Cesc Fabregas and fellow Sandbanks resident Harry Redknapp.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in May, she revealed what the world’s wealthiest usually want inside their homes.

‘Gold,’ she said. ‘Lots of gold. My clients aren’t interested in trends — they want something that looks expensive. It’s got to be 24-carat, unless it’s a jet — gold-plated is lighter.

‘The materials have to be the best: the finest leather, the softest velvet, everything bespoke. Jewels are big. I was asked to do a wall encrusted with diamonds, but thought it was a bit tacky.’

Known for her love of designer garments, she said it was important she looked the part for her role.

She said clients ‘expect me to look like my work’.  ‘I couldn’t meet them in a boring black suit, could I? Actually, I’ve always dressed like this. I go to the supermarket in these clothes.’
