An Australian woman has revealed how she lost a staggering 37 kilos following the birth of her baby girl, after starting off by going on simple walks with the pram.
Kashmir Jacobson, 26, from Victoria, gained 22 kilos while she was expecting her first child, after suffering from pre-eclampsia during the pregnancy.
‘I topped the scales at 115 kilos at my last appointment before being induced to have my baby,’ Kashmir told Daily Mail Australia.

The new mum started her weightloss journey by going on daily walks, pushing her baby girl in her pram
Her baby girl was born in April 2016 by emergency caesarean
Having always been a ‘curvy full-figured’ girl throughout her high school years, Kashmir explained she used to be a ‘comfortable size 16’.
‘I always wanted to get down to a size 10-12 but never had the will-power or knowledge or courage,’ she said.
‘For years I wouldn’t weigh myself in fear of what I actually weighed.’
The married mother said she and her now-husband of two years tried to maintain a healthy diet, but being a ‘very social couple’ would enjoy food and drinks with friends most weekends.

A lack of physical exercise didn’t help, according to Kashmir.
‘I would cook every night and have fruit and veg in the house, but snacks and eating out were a regular thing at the time which doesn’t help at all when you aren’t burning anything off,’ she said.
After seeing a photograph of herself on Facebook during an occasion to celebrate her engagement, Kashmir vowed to change.
The new mum started her transformation just three months after giving birth and didn’t stop
After her baby girl was born, Kashmir said she was ‘107 kilos and so unhappy with the way I looked
‘”Is that me?,” I thought, “Do I really look like that in public?”‘ she said.
‘I weighed around 103 kilos at the time and managed to lose 15 kilos in 2014 before my wedding in July 2015.’
However soon after the ceremony, Kashmir fell pregnant – gaining 22 kilos in the process.
It was after the birth – when her little girl was three months old – that the new mum vowed to change for good.
Although the new mum was overjoyed at having a ‘beautiful baby’, she said she knew she need to ‘get her act together’ (she is pictured after her dramatic transformation)
‘I started walked with my daughter in her pram daily and then slowly built up to walking with her strapped onto me in a baby carrier,’ she said
‘I was at this stage 107 kilos and so unhappy with the way I looked,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I was puffed getting up off the ground from sitting on the floor with her and was the biggest I’d ever been.’

Following on from her daily walks with the pram, in September 2016, she began personal training sessions once a week
‘I was puffed getting up off the ground from sitting on the floor with her and was the biggest I’d ever been,’ she said of herself before losing weight
‘And that’s what T did,’ the determined mum told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I started walked with my daughter in her pram daily and then slowly built up to walking with her strapped onto me in a baby carrier.
‘I then started walking stairs carrying her and closely watched what I was putting in my mouth.’
Following on from that, in September 2016, she began personal training sessions once a week.
The mum said she has always fitted exercise around her baby daughter and would take the stairs if she couldn’t go to the gym
The sessions were for mums and babies and allowed her to bring along her little girl.
She was joined with a friend whose baby was born around the same time as hers.
‘We trained weekly together, plus walked or did stairs together supporting and cheering each other on,’ Kashmir said.
‘I joined a local gym and started going twice a week. I have always fitted in exercise with my daughter or around her routine.’
Whilst Kashmir, who works for a pathology company, said she didn’t follow a strict meal plan, she started cooking low calorie lunches and dinners to keep herself accountable.
This involved preparing healthy meals and snacks a week ahead to keep herself on track.
‘I’d exercise at home doing YouTube workouts if I couldn’t get to the gym,’ she said. ‘Or I’d go walking or run stairs.

‘All of the good eating habits – plus the exercise – enabled my body to transform. There is no special diet pill or potion that will help you,’ she said

‘It’s one hundred per cent committing to something you want bad enough and giving it everything with no excuses.
In just over 12 months, Kashmir lost 37 kilos – she now weighs just under 70 kilos and is a size 10/12

‘Once you see the weight start to come off it becomes such an incentive to keep going,’ she said.

‘I haven’t been this weight in over 10 years,’ she said.
‘Although the scales don’t define me as a person, I’ve gained so much confidence and self respect to be stronger.
‘I’m so proud of my strength to achieve this goal.’
