A mum-of-two has been blown away after finding a heartwarming letter on a beach from a stranger.

Kate, from Brisbane, Australia, shared images online of the envelope that read ‘Dear human, from another human’, and had flowers taped on top.

Inside the envelope she found a delicate purple bracelet that had been passed on from the kind stranger.

The handwritten letter read: ‘Dear human, please accept this small gift, this purple bracelet. It was given to me by someone who loved me very much.’

Kate told FEMAIL she and her family were taking a walk along Burleigh beach on the Gold Coast in November 2021 when she discovered the letter perched on a bench.

‘It was the most beautiful surprise ever, I’ll never forget it,’ she said.

The kind stranger wanted to pay the purple bracelet forward with hope to bring joy to someone’s day.

The letter read: ‘I wore [the bracelet] for many months and it reminded me how people are always giving in their own way to the best of their ability.’

‘It is time for this bracelet to find a new home and I hope that it brings you even the tiniest bit of happiness.’

The letter was signed ‘from a stranger’.

On Instagram Kate said she didn’t intend to share what she had found on social media, but felt it was ‘too special of an experience not to share’.

‘It’s a beautiful example of someone giving, without the expectation of receiving in return, or even any form of acknowledgment for their kindness,’ she wrote.

‘I truly believe that the real beauty in ‘giving’, whatever and however that may be – is the genuine ability to give without the expectation of receiving or – even with the expectation of any outcome at all.’

Kate said she believes she was 'supposed to find' the envelope and dubbed it as 'divine timing' rather than 'luck'

‘I saw it sitting on the bench and noticed the flowers first. And then the writing. I actually thought someone had left it there and was intending on trying to find the owner,’ she said.

‘And then I read it…. I’ll never forget the full-body goosebumps and the elated high that I felt!’

At the time, Kate turned to her partner Luke and described it as a ‘message in a bottle’ experience.
