Mum shares her secret for a sparkling clean stove top in SECONDS

A mum has revealed her unlikely secret to a sparking clean stove top and oven exhaust in seconds – and her go-to buys are designed for laundry.

‘A lot of people recommended using DiSan products from Aldi to clean oven exhausts and stove tops,’ she wrote on Facebook. ‘So I thought I would give it a go.’

She used Aldi’s DiSan Pro Stain Degreaser ($1.95) and the DiSan Pro Oxy Laundry Soaker ($1.95) and the results speak for themselves.

The mum was pleasantly surprised with the results. ‘It worked so well!’ she said after trying the products. ‘In the past, I would go through whole rolls of paper towels – but not today!’

She used the Stain Degreaser (pink bottle) for the stove top and soaked the vents, sink, and drain plug in the Pro Oxy Laundry Soaker (purple bottle).

‘I let them soak for as long as it took to clean the rest of the stove top, and they came out sparkling,’ the mum said.

She added, ‘I also cleaned the inside of the exhaust with the Oxy mixed with hot water. I only used about 6 sheets of paper towels!’

Hundreds were impressed with the results and swore to try the hack themselves.

‘I use this all the time,’ said one woman. ‘Also works well on grout, car wheel rims, and oil stains in my carport!’

‘And here I’ve been wasting these products on … laundry! Thanks for the hack, will be sure to try it soon.’

‘I am in love with Aldi’s special buys … they do wonders for my home,’ said a third.

‘The results are amazing … truly sparkling.’

Another added, ‘Well, I know what I’ll be using when I run out of kitchen spray next!’

Another mum also discovered that using Aldi’s laundry degreaser ($1.95) on her floors produced spotless results.

‘Aldi laundry degreaser for the absolute win,’ she wrote to the thousands in a popular Facebook group.

‘It has shown amazing results on my stone bench tops, shower, glass, cook tops, cupboards, and now floors!’

‘And all for less than $2 a bottle,’ she continued. ‘How good?’

The Di San Pre Wash Stain Remover is primarily used for ‘greasy’ and ‘oily’ stains on clothing, but the product has proven to be extremely versatile.

Hundreds were in awe of the mum’s unconventional trick.

‘These are the shiniest floors I’ve ever seen,’ wrote one woman.

‘Absolutely brilliant, I wish my floors looked like that.’

‘I use this on my counter tops all the time and it smells great,’ added a third. ‘Just like fresh laundry, not chemical at all.’

The mum further explained that high gloss floors are extremely difficult to clean as floor cleaners usually cause a build up that betray footprints soon after use.

‘But this product has removed all the film on top and polished them with very little effort from me,’ she added.

But others were not so quick to get behind her hack – and many warned of the adverse affects of using laundry products on tiles.

‘After a while stuff like this breaks down the grout,’ said one man.

‘This is really bad long-term,’ echoed another. ‘It will completely ruin the grout.’

Grout is an important part of flooring as it keeps moisture out of the substrate, helps keep tile lines straight, and prevents tiles from rubbing against one another and cracking.
