Mummy cool! Carrie Johnson looks effortlessly glam as she shares photos from family trip to the US

Carrie Johnson looked effortlessly glam as she shared a series of heartwarming photos from her family holiday to South Africa.

The mother-of-two, 35, shared a series of photographs with her 64,800 Instagram followers yesterday.

To begin with, the former PM’s wife shared a mirror selfie which showed her posing in a floaty white tiered button-down dress by Carole Bamford.

Tagging the designer, she captioned the post: ‘The perfect, throw-on holiday dress.’

Embracing her natural curls, Carrie finished off her look with a simple gold pendant necklace and burgundy sliders.

What’s more, the couple’s two-year-old son Wilfred – who has inherited his father Boris’ impressive blonde locks – was seen happily running past his mother.

Next, Carrie also posted a photo of herself enjoying some time with her children in the pool.

Opting for a glamourous ensemble, Carrie rocked a hot pink swimsuit which she paired with a gold star chain and heart-shaped tortoiseshell sunglasses.

She is beaming with delight and seen helping an excitable Wilfred leap into the water.

After this, Carrie posted a photo of her son about to tuck into a doughnut covered in sprinkles.

Careful not to show her son’s face, she jokingly captioned the photo: ‘When in America…’

The final glimpse Carrie gave from their holiday was a picture of a sign warning tourists about alligators in nearby waters.

It reads: ‘Keep out of the water. It is illegal to feed or harass alligators.’

Although her husband, Boris, 58, was not seen in the pictures, it is likely he could have been the one behind the lens with their daughter Romy.

Carrie regularly posts on Instagram, though she often pictures her children from behind.

Last month, she was seen at a wildlife reserve with her husband Boris and two children as she celebrated her 35th birthday.

She was pictured feeding a giraffe and petting a rhinoceros at the Port Lympne Safari Park in Hythe, Kent.

Carrie and Wilfred are also pictured with Tapirs, an animal the mother-of-two says is her ‘new favourite’.

She also posted images of her son Wilfred, two, and daughter Romy, one, interacting with the animals at the 600-acre reserve.

Sharing a snapshot of her day on Instagram, Ms Johnson said: ‘Back in my happy place for the most wonderful birthday.

‘Tapirs are now my new favourite animal. Such a magical place where the animals are truly looked after and many are returned to the wild when they can be.’

The wildlife park, where tickets cost £29 for an adult and £26 for a child, is a favourite of the family, and Carrie has been pictured visiting before with her son.

Port Lympne says it is ‘very different from a conventional zoo’ – as they ‘ensure that the animals always come first’.

Carrie also recently took to social media to ask her followers how to wean her daughter off a dummy.

But she wasn’t impressed with the advice she received.

‘Top options seem to be: cold turkey (and wine for mother),’ Carrie said on her Instagram story before adding: ‘And the most dark of all, have a full-on dummy funeral in the garden and bury it.’
