Andy Murray’s quest to become a scratch golfer will see him tee it up with Bob MacIntyre in the pro-am of next week’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Murray has moved from the tennis courts to the fairways over recent weeks after calling time on his illustrious career following the Olympics last month.
The three-time Grand Slam champion has set himself the target of attaining a scratch handicap in his new venture — and has now enlisted the help of MacIntyre to perhaps offers a few tips.
The two Scottish sporting stars will be in action together when the DP World Tour rolls up at Wentworth next week for the showpiece event.
MacIntyre is currently enjoying the best season of his career so far, with victories at the Scottish Open and Canadian Open on the back of his victorious Ryder Cup debut last year.

‘He’s been absolutely dedicated to tennis during his incredible career, but it looks like he’s been playing plenty of golf since his retirement, so I’m looking forward to seeing if all that practice has paid off.’
The pro-am at Wentworth always attracts a star-studded field, with Murray joined by the likes of Gareth Bale among several other global sporting icons and Hollywood A-listers.
