A man has come under fire for using a relationship ‘loophole’ to cheat on his girlfriend – but not everyone thinks he’s in the wrong.
Adam*, 22, had happily been with his girlfriend Jenny*, 19, for two years when he received the shock of his life during a conversation with his best friend.
A social gathering saw the couple and their friend group discussing their sexual relationships when Adam’s friend Anna revealed that she had only ever slept with women.
‘Adam was flabbergasted, stuttering, and saying how she’s basically ‘still a virgin’,’ Jenny said. ‘Anna then ‘jokingly’ claimed that maybe Adam should take her virginity – but he got all flustered and clammed up.’
Jenny added, ‘I immediately told him how uncomfortable it made me – which is why I was shocked when Adam told me he slept with Anna two days later.’

Jenny shared her story on a popular online forum and asked for advice on the unusual situation.
She was devastated after the ‘awkward’ conversation at the party – but her boyfriend assured her that it was ‘just a joke’ and ‘not that deep’.
‘Adam and Anna went out for drinks Monday, and he came back and told me they had sex – but it’s not cheating because she’s lesbian and he was doing her a favour by taking her ‘man virginity’,’ Jenny wrote.
‘I was appalled and left, yet I’m getting bombarded by texts from him, Anna, and the group. They’re all saying it’s nothing, it didn’t mean anything, and I’m being ignorant.’
Jenny felt like she was ‘going crazy’ for being the only one who considered it cheating.
Many sided with her and called Adam out on his ‘disgusting’ behaviour.
‘Nope. I’m gay – he’s a dirty cheater and she just wanted to sabotage your relationship. She’s scum and he’s toxic,’ a man said.
‘Any group that would side with this cheating bullshit is made of garbage humans that you do not need in your life. Sex is sex. It’s still sex if you have same sex with a queer person,’ another wrote.
A third added, ‘He is not only a cheater but also an idiot. Now, all your friends are gaslighting you into believing him. Get far away from them!’
But others weren’t convinced he technically ‘cheated’ on her.
‘I mean, at least he told you. If he considered it cheating he probably would have lied to you about it,’ one defended.
‘It doesn’t really count as cheating because she’s a lesbian – if she was bisexual, maybe it would be a different story,’ another added.
