I’ve always supported Arsenal, but developed a strong affinity for Coventry in the late 1980s, when I played Midlands club cricket alongside City keeper Steve Ogrizovic. 

The shirt for their Cup Final win over Spurs is the most iconic in the club’s history. 

I had a great catch-up with Oggy this month. I’d get over to England from South Africa to watch the last few games at Highfield Road.

Oggy would get me tickets. In late April 1989, I went with him to Old Trafford. 

Coventry won and there I am after in the players’ bar, sitting with Oggy, and in come Sir Alex Ferguson, Mark Hughes and Steve Bruce. ‘Jeez, this is unbelievable,’ I thought.
