Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge have opened up on their famous feud, which saw the pair ‘hate each other’s guts’.
The My Kitchen Rules stars came to blows when Colin made negative posts about Manu on Twitter, objecting to him being a ‘TV chef’.
In an episode of MKR last year, Manu said that cold reception made it very difficult when Colin eventually joined the show.
‘The guy hates my guts and I hate his guts’ Manu said he told producers when he learned of the hire.
In a new episode of Charlie Albone’s podcast That’s How We Grow, the pair reflected on how they managed to build a friendship from the ashes.
‘Let’s cut to the chase, we didn’t on. I may have called him… something on Twitter, I called him a… beep…’ Colin said.
‘Then Ricky, who made MKR, rang and I said, I don’t want to be a TV chef, I want to be a real chef.’
Manu added that Colin saw TV chefs as ‘w**kers’ and that the pair ‘weren’t friends’ when they first worked together.

‘Then on the last day of the shoot we went to our rooms and I heard a knock on the door and he said ‘thank you for helping me out and I apologise for being a w***ker’,’ Manu revealed.
‘And then we became very good friends. Now it’s been 10 years on MKR together and last year we worked together for eight months.’
The pair earlier revealed they got off on the ‘wrong foot’ after Colin took aim at Manu before the show.
‘The salty secret is Colin and I started on the wrong foot. Because when I started TV, most chefs in the industry thought I’d sold my soul’ Manu said.
Colin added: ‘I said he’s sold out.’
Explaining the criticism, Manu said: ‘They said I was no longer a chef, I was a TV celebrity.’

The two chefs explained how difficult it would be with them filming together.
‘I got told, ”Oh we’re going to bring in a new chef – Colin Fassnidge.” And I went, ‘What?! The guy hates my guts and I hate his guts’,’ Manu said.
Colin added: ‘So day one of MKR, I turn up and they’re like ‘Have you met Manu?’ And I was like, ‘S***’.
‘We did the season. It was a tough learning curve for me.’
Manu said it wasn’t until the end of the show that they worked out their differences, with Colin later apologising.
