Bargain hunters are in a frenzy after Australian department store Myer announced a massive ‘special event’ leap year sale.

The ‘unmissable’ online shopping event is set to launch on Saturday morning and prices will be slashed on fashion, technology, homewares, toys and kitchen appliances.

Much to the delight of shoppers, some deals have already been set live online, with 50 per cent off beds and luggage and 20 per cent off Breville coffee machines, designer cookware and Sheridan sheets.
