Mystery surrounds disappearance of an elderly couple, 87 and 82, who were last seen driving away from a Sydney shopping centre

  • Pasquale Esposita and his wife June were last seen near a Ryde shopping centre
  • The couple’s worried family called police after they didn’t return home yesterday
  • Concerns are held for their welfare as the disappearance is out of character

The family of an elderly couple who mysteriously disappeared hold grave concerns for their welfare.

Pasquale Esposita, 87, and his wife June, 82, were last seen near Top Ryde City Shopping Centre, in the city’s northwest, about 1pm on Sunday. 

The couple’s worried family called police after they didn’t return home.

Police hold concerns are held for their welfare as the disappearance is out of character.

Pasquale and June were last seen driving a white Holden Commodore station wagon with NSW registration WWY169.

Pasquale is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, approximately 160cm tall, with a medium build, brown eyes, grey hair and an olive complexion. 

He was wearing a dark jacket, suit pants and glasses.

June is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, approximately 155cm tall, with grey/brown hair and a slim build. 

She was wearing a dark coat and a skirt.

Anyone who sees the couple or believes they may know of their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
