Naomi Campbell’s birthday party, Glamhive’s style summit, and more fashionable events

When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a fashionable passerby.

As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We’re exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; we’re tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop — a lot.

To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this Friday series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for all.

This week’s edition focuses on the most fashionable industry events.

On May 22 the BOSS brand and Daniel Grieder, HUGO BOSS CEO, hosted an exclusive dinner for Naomi Campbell’s birthday.

The event was followed by an after-party at Villa Julia in Cannes, France.

‘Naomi is a true boss and a role model for so many. Apart from being a fashion icon, she is a champion of diversity, inclusivity, and a renowned philanthropist,’ said Daniel.

‘Therefore, she perfectly embodies the values of our BOSS brand. It is a great honor for us to host Naomi’s birthday celebration in Cannes.’

It was a very fashionable crowd that included the likes of Leonardo Di Caprio, Julia Garner, Travis Scott, Future, Daphne Guinness, Fan Bingbing, Colin Kaepernick, Alton Mason, Alpha Dia, Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson.

Fellow models Irina Shayk, Helena Christensen, Stella Maxwell, Eva Herzigova, Ashley Graham, Neelam Gill, and Jordan Barrett were also in attendance.

The birthday girl appeared in two stunning outfits for the festivities.

She wowed when she first arrived at the party in a gold-toned, floor-length gown, hand-embroidered with impeccable beading on a nude-colored tulle base with feathers.

The V-neck gown was accented by a train with a feather degrade beginning at the upper leg, becoming increasingly dense toward the hem.

Naomi then changed into a white, floor-length, backless, bias-cut dress with bold cutouts at the waist and an exquisite train, plus attached, floor-skimming, asymmetric scarf finished with a lovely fringe detail.

 Wardrobe stylist summit

This weekend LA’s stylist community gathered to discuss business, personal growth, and (of course) style!

Glamhive, the online destination for virtual styling from A-list celebrity stylists to emerging stylists, hosted an all day summit to connect the community and bring in their network and success stories to share with the whole community.

The energy was amazing as what felt like every stylist in LA gathered together to mingle, learn, and get inspired.

The library is a wonderland of garments and accessories from the personal collection of former stylist and founder Irene Albright.

It is where A-listers and stylists in-the-know (like Pat Field) go to rent designer pieces.

Drinks were served by BTL SVC as guests mingled and and viewed Albright’s extensive designer fashion collection.
