Naomi Watts has revealed her surprising family connection to Simon Baker.
The Australian-British actress, 55, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a sweet picture of Stella Baker, Simon’s daughter.
Stella, 31, is shown smiling with friends at a restaurant, and over the top of the image, Naomi wrote, ‘Happy birthday to my wildly clever and talented goddaughter, Stella Baker. I love you so much.’
In her next Instagram Story, Naomi shared another picture of Stella, a throwback from when her goddaughter was a child.
‘Baby girl! Happy birthday!’ she wrote once again.
Naomi and Simon have have been firm friends and even go on family holidays together ever since they worked together on The Ring Two in 2005.
Nicole Kidman is also godmother to one of Simon’s three children.
Stella is an actor just like her father, who is best known for his role in the television series The Mentalist.

After landing a guest role on her father’s show in 2014, Sarah went on to star in the CW drama, The Republic of Sarah in 2021, which ran for one season before it was cancelled.
She took advice from her dad to take up a career in Hollywood after finding a passion for stage shows.
‘I remember my dad saying to me, “If you’re happy to do theatre for no money for the rest of your life — because that’s what most actors end up doing — great, and we totally support you, and if you get lucky, you get lucky”,’ she told 9Entertainment.

‘So far I have been lucky, but I would be happy to do anything because I just love it.’
Despite his accolades as an actor, Simon has previously gushed over Stella and his two sons Claude and Harry, saying his children are his ‘pride and joy.’
Simon married Rebecca Rigg, Stella’s mother, in 1998 before separating in 2022.
Speaking to GQ magazine, the actor, who was 24 when Stella was born, said that his wife and family were the secret to his success in La La Land.
‘When we arrived [in the US], I had a child and responsibilities. As a result, I viewed the concept of success as being able to provide for my family,’ he told GQ Australia in 2015.
‘To achieve this, I had to deliver consistent performances, be professional on and off set… my circumstances have never allowed me to be selfish and that’s contributed to the success we’ve had in America.’
