Naomi Watts steals the show in a daring sheer dress as she joins Bill Murray for The Friend premiere at Toronto International Film Festival

Naomi Watts turned heads as she stepped out with Bill Murray at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the premiere of their new film The Friend.

The British-born actress, 55, stunned eventgoers on Tuesday as she slipped her incredible figure into a completely sheer black gown decorated with tassels.

Arriving at the Roy Thomson Theatre, the former soap star opted for a touch of modesty with a black bra and high-waisted underwear beneath the racy frock.

The blonde beauty kept her hair-do simple, leaving her locks straight as she slicked on a bright red lip and minimal eye makeup.

She tottered along the red carpet in a pair of towering black chunky boots which paired beautifully with her sheer garb.

The King Kong star stopped briefly outside the venue to chat with fans, happily taking photos with them and signing autographs.

Meanwhile, Bill, 73, kept things very casual in a canvas coat which he pulled over the top of a royal blue button-down and white slacks.

The Ghostbusters star offered the crook of his elbow for Naomi to hold as the co-stars walked the red carpet together.

Their new movie The Friend is a comedy drama based on Sigrid Nunez’s novel of the same name, which was originally published in 2018.

The book is centered on a writer who takes in an elderly Great Dane after its owner, who also happened to be one of her close friends, unexpectedly passes away.

Naomi plays the lead role in the film but was spotted talking about another clip as she walked the red carpet at TIFF.

The actresses’ best friend Nicole Kidman stars in the new series The Perfect Couple with Naomi’s ex-partner and father of her children Liev Schreiber.

Naomi revealed to Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday that Nicole, 57, reached out to her before she took on the role opposite her ex.

‘We always check in, we’re besties. That was very kind of her to do that,’ Naomi said.

Nicole and Liev play a married couple in the series which is on streamer Netflix.
