Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly refused to carry out his post-match media duties following the 1-1 draw with RB Salzburg in the Champions League.

The Serie A side came from a goal down to earn a point at home in the Group E clash on Tuesday night.

The squad also went home separately rather than returning to their training camp by bus like usual in a rebellion against club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Both Ancelotti and the players were reportedly put out following orders from De Laurentiis earlier this week.

UEFA could fine the club and the players are seeking legal advice in preparation for a punishment, according to Sky.

The draw on Tuesday evening saw Napoli move to second in Group E after Liverpool beat Genk. 

Ancelotti’s side fell behind to a Erling Braut Haaland penalty in the 11th minute but equalised just before half time through Hirving Lozano.

Napoli return to league action on Saturday when they welcome Genoa in the Italian top flight.
