Natalie Imbruglia on ex David Schwimmer admitting he had a crush on Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston

David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston thrilled fans during the recent Friends reunion when they revealed that had a crush on each other in the early days of filming. 

And now one of David’s famous exes, Australian singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia, 46, has revealed if there was any  ‘crossover’ while she was dating the actor. 

Natalie was asked about the sitcom stars’ startling admission when she appeared  on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show this week.

As host Kyle starting asking the question, Natalie interrupted him, saying: ‘Were you wondering if there was a crossover?’

‘I thought that too, no I’m joking,’ she added with a laugh. 

When Jackie asked during what season of Friends Natalie dated David, the songstress claimed she couldn’t remember as it was so long ago. 

'I remember being on set and everyone being lovely and really, really nice, I wasn't paying attention to whether they were giving each other you know, little looks over my shoulder,' Natalie said

Natalie and David reportedly dated from 1996 to 1997.

She previously described their short-lived romance as a ‘happy relationship.’

‘I mean, the first season, I had a major crush on Jen. At some point, we were crushing hard on each other,’ David revealed. 

David, 54, explained: ‘But it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary.

Jennifer said that she had a conversation with David prior to their character’s first kiss. 

‘Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,’ Jennifer said.  

‘Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,’ Jennifer noted.

Adding: ‘So we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.’
