Natalie Portman crosses the boundaries of the imagination in the brand new trailer for the sci-fi thriller Annihilation.

The almost two-minute teaser shows the starlet get more than she bargained for during a risky mission to an environmental disaster zone to save her husband, played by Oscar Isaac.

The trailer also offers a glimpse of a steamy moment between the couple as they get hot and heavy in a raunchy sex scene, before delving into a world of the unexpected and unknown.

When the Biologist and her team encounter a strange lifeforms during a scientific mission, they realize they’ve stumbled into a world where nothing is as it seems.

The film was directed by Ex Machina auteur Alex Garland and is based from a best-selling book trilogy by authored Jeff VanderMeer.

There is still plenty of time to mull over the plot. Annihilation isn’t set for theaters until February 2018.
